Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 7, 2025

Introduction

Pumplify (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Pumplify collects, uses, and safeguards information from both users of our API and visitors to our website (pumplify.fun). It applies to all services offered by Pumplify, including the public API and the website. By using Pumplify’s API or website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our services.

Data Collection

Scope: We collect different types of information from our API users and website visitors. Below is a breakdown of what data we gather in each context.

API Data We Collect

When you interact with Pumplify’s API, we collect certain data to ensure the service works properly and securely:

  • IP Addresses – We log the IP address of each request made to our API. This helps us identify and block malicious activity or spam and maintain the security and integrity of the service.

  • API Usage Data – We gather information about how the API is used, such as endpoints accessed, request timestamps, and frequency of calls. This data is vital for monitoring performance, load, and detecting or preventing abuse of the API (for example, rate-limiting excessive requests).

  • Public Wallet Addresses – If you query our API with a blockchain wallet address or similar public identifier, we collect that address to provide the requested data. All wallet information we store is public (such as public blockchain addresses) and necessary for the API to return the relevant results.

  • Common Wallet Interactions (Cached Data) – To optimize performance, we may temporarily cache results of common or repetitive wallet queries. For example, if many users request the same public wallet data, we might store that result briefly so subsequent requests can be answered faster. Cached data is stored for short periods and is used only to improve response times. It does not include sensitive personal information and is routinely refreshed or purged to ensure data stays up-to-date.

  • Error Logs – When the API encounters an error or bug, our system records details about the issue in an error log. These details can include the request parameters (such as the endpoint or wallet address involved), timestamps, and the error message or code. We use error logs solely for debugging and troubleshooting purposes, to identify what went wrong and fix issues. Error logs are not used for user profiling, and access to them is restricted to our development team.

  • Analytics Data – We use internal analytics to track overall API usage patterns. This may include metrics like the total number of requests, popular endpoints, and average response times. Analytics data helps us understand how the API is performing and how users engage with it. Importantly, this information is generally aggregated and anonymized – it’s statistical data rather than personal data. For example, we might know that “X thousand requests were made this week” or “endpoint Y is 20% of traffic,” but this analysis does not focus on individual users.

Website Data We Collect

When you visit or interact with Pumplify’s website (pumplify.fun), we collect some information about your visit for functionality and analytics:

  • Clicked Links and Page Visits – We track actions you take on our website, such as links you click, buttons you press, and pages or features you view. This clickstream data is collected to help us understand user engagement and improve our site’s design and content organization. For instance, knowing which links are frequently clicked or which pages are most visited guides us in optimizing those areas of the website.

  • Visitor Information (Analytics) – We use third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics or similar services) that automatically collect general information about your visit. This includes data such as:

    • Your IP address (which may be used to infer approximate geographic location, e.g., city or country).

    • Browser type and version, device type (desktop or mobile), and operating system.

    • Referral source (how you arrived at our site, e.g., via a search engine or a link from another site).

    • Date and time of your visit, and the duration of your visit on our site.

    • The pages you viewed and the order in which you viewed them. This information is collected for analytics tracking, meaning we analyze it to see how our website is performing and how users interact with it in aggregate. We do not use this data to personally identify you. The analytics data is typically reviewed in summary form (for example, total number of visitors, overall geographic distribution, common browser types) to spot trends and preferences among our user base. This helps us make informed decisions on improving content, navigation, and site performance.

Note: Apart from analytics, basic technical information (like IP address and user-agent) is also automatically received by our web server as part of normal web communications. We primarily use such information for analytics and to ensure the website is displayed correctly on your device.

How Data Is Used

We use the data collected from the API and website to operate effectively, protect our users, and continually improve our offerings. Below are the main purposes for which Pumplify uses your data:

  • Security and Performance – Data such as IP addresses and API usage logs are crucial for maintaining the security and reliability of Pumplify. We analyze this information to detect and block malicious activities, such as hacking attempts, DDoS attacks, or spammy behavior. By monitoring IP addresses and unusual usage patterns, we can quickly take action against suspicious behavior (for example, throttling or banning an IP engaged in abuse). This ensures the API and website remain stable, fast, and safe for all legitimate users. It also helps us balance load on our servers and optimize performance for a smooth user experience.

  • Preventing Abuse and Fraud – We are vigilant against any form of abuse, fraud, or unauthorized use of our services. The usage data we collect (both on the API and website) allows us to enforce our Terms of Service. For example, if one API key is making an exceptionally high number of requests or trying to exploit our system, we can investigate using the collected data and take measures such as rate limiting or suspending the key. Similarly, tracking clicked links and usage on the website can help us detect bots or misuse of any interactive features. By preventing abuse, we protect both Pumplify and our users from potential harm such as data breaches, service interruptions, or fraudulent schemes.

  • Improving User Experience – We use analytics and cached data to enhance and personalize the experience of using Pumplify. For the API, understanding aggregate usage (which endpoints are popular, peak usage times, common error types) guides us in making improvements, adding new features, or adjusting capacity. Caching of common wallet interactions means faster responses for users, reducing latency and waiting time. For the website, analyzing which pages are frequently visited or which links are commonly clicked helps us refine our content and navigation. Overall, this usage data feeds into our development process so we can make Pumplify more user-friendly, relevant, and efficient.

  • Debugging and Issue Resolution – Data from error logs and user reports is utilized to troubleshoot problems. If you encounter an error on the API (for example, a request fails or returns an incorrect result), our team will examine the stored error log data to pinpoint the issue. This might involve looking at the request details (like the wallet address or parameters used) and the system’s response. By doing so, we can replicate the problem, fix any bugs in our code, and test the solution. Similarly, for the website, if a page isn’t loading correctly or a feature is broken, usage logs and error reports guide us to the fix. Using data in this way ensures that we address issues promptly and maintain a high quality of service.

We do not use the data we collect to profile you as an individual, nor do we use it for marketing or advertising purposes (aside from any direct communications you might opt-in to, such as a newsletter, which is outside the scope of this Policy). All usage of data is aligned with delivering, protecting, and improving the Pumplify API and website experience.

Data Storage & Retention

Pumplify takes care to store your data securely and only for an appropriate length of time. Below is information on how we store data and how long we keep it:

  • Storage Location – Data collected by Pumplify is stored on secure servers, which may be hosted by reputable third-party cloud providers. We use trusted hosting infrastructure (for example, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar services) that offer robust physical and network security. These servers may be located in the United States or other countries. Regardless of location, we ensure that your data is protected in line with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

  • Security Measures – We implement industry-standard security practices to safeguard collected data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. This includes measures such as: encryption in transit (e.g., using HTTPS for all data transfer between your device and Pumplify) and encryption at rest where appropriate, firewall protection for our servers, regular security audits/updates, and strict access controls. Only authorized Pumplify personnel or contractors who need to access the data for operation or maintenance purposes are allowed to do so. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations. We also employ techniques like anonymization or pseudonymization for stored data whenever feasible – for instance, storing analytics in aggregate form rather than raw logs tied to individual IPs – to enhance privacy.

  • Retention Period – We retain collected data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. The exact time periods may vary depending on the type of data:

    • API Logs and IP Addresses: Data such as server logs that include IP addresses and API request details are typically kept for a limited period (for example, a few weeks or months) unless needed longer for security investigations. We keep these logs to analyze recent activity, troubleshoot issues, and guard against attacks. Unless a log is actively being used to investigate malicious behavior or a technical issue, it is automatically deleted after the retention period.

    • Error Logs: Records of errors may be retained until the related issue is resolved and for some time thereafter to verify the fix. Typically, error logs are reviewed regularly and purged when they are no longer needed for debugging.

    • Analytics Data: Analytics information might be stored in aggregate form for a longer duration since it helps us observe trends over time. However, this data does not contain personally identifiable information. For example, we might keep month-to-month usage statistics to compare growth or performance year over year. Such data may be retained indefinitely in anonymous form.

    • Cached Data: Temporary cache data for performance (e.g., common wallet interaction results) is usually stored only for very short periods (minutes or hours) before being refreshed or deleted, as its purpose is to speed up current requests. In all cases, when data is no longer necessary, we either delete it securely or anonymize it (so it can no longer be associated with any individual). We also periodically review the data we hold and erase or anonymize information that is outdated or no longer required. These practices ensure we are not keeping your data for longer than necessary.

User Rights & Control

We believe it’s important that you have control over your personal data. While Pumplify primarily collects technical and usage data (and minimal personal information), we still strive to honor any requests regarding your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access and Correction – You have the right to request a copy of the information that we have collected about you, if any. This typically would pertain to personal data (for example, if you have an account with us or have corresponded with us). You also have the right to ask that we correct or update any inaccurate or outdated personal information. If you want to know what data we have about you or to correct data, you can contact us (see the Contact Information section below). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling such requests to ensure we don’t disclose data to the wrong person.

  • Data Deletion (Right to be Forgotten) – You can request that we delete personal data we’ve collected from you. Because Pumplify generally collects limited personal data, this mostly applies to data like IP addresses in logs or any contact information you may have provided to us. We will honor deletion requests provided we don’t have a legal obligation to retain the data. For example, if you emailed us for support, you can ask us to delete those communications from our records. If you used the API and are concerned about your IP being logged, we can remove or anonymize it in our active logs (bearing in mind that older logs may have already been auto-deleted as per our retention policy). When we delete data, we will do so securely. Please note that in some cases we might not be able to fully delete data that has been anonymized or aggregated, because it is no longer tied to your identity (for instance, removing one entry from a large aggregate dataset may be impractical or impossible without affecting the dataset’s integrity, but that entry is not personally identifiable at that point).

  • Opt-Out of Analytics Tracking – If you do not want your website visit information to be collected via our analytics tools, you have several options:

    • You can configure your web browser to block or delete cookies, including analytics cookies (see the Cookies & Tracking section below for more on cookies). Many analytics tools rely on cookies to track repeat visits; if you remove or refuse cookies, your activity on our site will be less trackable.

    • Some analytics providers offer their own opt-out mechanisms (for example, Google Analytics provides a browser add-on to opt out of its tracking). If we use such a provider, you can utilize their tool to prevent data from being used by that analytics service.

    • If your browser has a Do Not Track (DNT) feature and it is enabled, we will treat it as an indication that you prefer not to be tracked for analytics. While there is not yet a universal standard for DNT signals, we strive to honor such preferences to the extent feasible. Note: Opting out of analytics does not affect the core functionality of the Pumplify API or website. You can still use our services normally even if you choose not to be part of analytics data collection.

  • Withdrawal of Consent – In the rare cases where we rely on your consent to process data (for example, if we ever ask for your consent for a new feature or to receive marketing emails), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing done before the withdrawal, but it will mean we stop the specific activity you had consented to (e.g., we would stop sending you a newsletter if you withdraw consent to receive emails from us). To withdraw consent, you can contact us or use any automated unsubscribe/settings features we provide (such as an “unsubscribe” link in an email).

  • Object or Restrict Processing – You also have the right to object to certain types of processing or ask us to limit processing. For example, you can ask that we not use your data for direct marketing (we currently do not do any marketing with the data, but this is a general right under laws like GDPR). You could also object to processing based on legitimate interests in certain circumstances, or request that we temporarily restrict processing if you contest the accuracy of your data or have pending legal claims. We will evaluate such requests and comply where required by law.

Exercising Your Rights: To exercise any of the above rights, please contact us via the email or mailing address provided in the Contact Information section. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any case within the timeframe required by applicable law (for example, GDPR requires responses typically within one month). Be aware that these rights are subject to certain exceptions and limitations. If we cannot fulfill a request (such as a deletion request due to a legal obligation to keep records), we will explain the reason to you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Third-Party Services

Pumplify may use third-party services and platforms as part of providing our API and website. This section explains how we work with third parties and what data might be shared or collected in those contexts:

  • Analytics Providers – As mentioned, we use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to help us understand how users interact with our website (and possibly the API in a general sense). These third parties set cookies or use other tracking technologies to collect usage data (like IP address, browser info, pages visited, etc.). The data collected on our behalf is available to us to analyze website traffic and usage patterns. We have configured these analytics services to respect privacy as much as possible (for example, by anonymizing IP addresses when feasible and not sharing data with unrelated services). The analytics data is used solely for our internal purposes (to improve the site and service) and is not shared with other third parties. If you want to opt out of this tracking, please refer to the User Rights & Control section above for options.

  • Security & Anti-Abuse Services – We take advantage of third-party tools to protect Pumplify from security threats and abuse. For instance, we might use a service like Cloudflare or other security providers to help filter out malicious traffic, prevent DDoS attacks, or block spam. These services may in the process have access to basic data such as IP addresses and request headers as they filter and route traffic to our servers. Similarly, we might use CAPTCHA services (like Google reCAPTCHA) on our website to distinguish real users from bots; such services may collect information like mouse movements or keystrokes on the CAPTCHA widget, as well as your IP, to perform that analysis. Any third-party security service is only employed to preserve the safety and integrity of Pumplify. We do not provide them with any more of your information than is necessary, and they are contractually or legally bound to use that information only for the intended protective purpose.

  • Cloud Hosting & Data Storage – Our infrastructure is built on reliable third-party hosting providers. This means the data you provide or that we collect (logs, cached data, etc.) may be stored on servers owned or managed by companies specializing in cloud storage (for example, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or similar). These companies do not use your data for their own purposes. They simply provide the storage and computing capabilities. We maintain control of the data and use strong access controls and encryption to ensure that even within these environments your data is protected. In addition, we choose hosting providers that comply with relevant security standards and regulations (such as ISO certifications, SOC audits, or GDPR compliance as a data processor).

  • Third-Party Links – For completeness, note that our website or documentation may contain links to external websites or services that are not operated by Pumplify. For example, we might link to a blog post, a reference site, or a partner’s page. If you click those links, you will be directed away from Pumplify’s site and to a third-party site. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit via external link. This Privacy Policy applies only to Pumplify’s API and website.

  • No Selling of Personal Data – We want to reassure you that Pumplify does not sell, rent, or trade any personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We also do not share personal data with third parties unless it is necessary to operate our service or required by law (in which case, we will only share the minimum required data). Any third parties that we do engage (as described above) are service providers acting on our behalf, and they are obligated to keep your information confidential and use it only for the services they provide to us.

Pumplify is based in and operates under applicable laws and regulations regarding data protection and user privacy. We strive to comply with major privacy laws that may apply to our users. Key points include:

  • GDPR (EU/EEA Users) – If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or other regions with GDPR-equivalent laws, you are entitled to specific protections under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Pumplify acts as a “data controller” for the information we collect as outlined in this policy. The legal bases for our processing of your data typically include: Legitimate Interests (for things like ensuring security, providing and improving our services – we have a legitimate interest in processing certain data for these purposes) and Consent (for cases where you’ve given consent, such as accepting non-essential cookies). We uphold your rights under the GDPR, such as the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, and the right to restrict or object to certain processing, as detailed in the User Rights & Control section. We also support data portability rights to the extent applicable (if you request it, we can provide your personal data in a common machine-readable format). If you have concerns about our data handling, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. However, we encourage you to contact us first, and we will do our best to address your concerns.

  • CCPA (California Users) – For users residing in California, we comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and related amendments (like CPRA). Under CCPA, California residents have the right to know what personal information a business has collected about them, the right to know whether their personal information is sold or disclosed (we do not sell personal data), the right to access the information collected, and the right to request deletion of their personal information (with some exceptions as per law). Pumplify’s data practices as described in this policy cover the categories of personal information we collect (e.g., identifiers like IP address; internet activity information like usage data). These are used for the business purposes outlined (security, analytics, etc.). If you are a California resident and would like to exercise your CCPA rights, you can contact us to make a verifiable request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights (for example, we won’t deny you service or provide a different quality of service just because you made a data request).

  • Children’s Privacy – Pumplify’s services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old. If you are under 18, you should only use Pumplify with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, as an added precaution. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 (or under the applicable minimum age in certain jurisdictions, which might be 16 in some regions under GDPR), we will promptly delete that information from our records. Parents or guardians who believe that their child may have provided personal information to us should contact us immediately so we can investigate and take necessary steps.

  • International Data Transfers – Pumplify is accessible globally, which means information we collect may be transferred to or stored on servers in different countries than your own. For example, if you are in the EU, your data might be processed on servers in the United States. We are committed to protecting your data during these transfers. When we transfer personal data out of the EU/EEA, we ensure there are appropriate safeguards in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or relying on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions for certain countries, in accordance with Articles 44-49 of the GDPR. Similarly, for other regions with data transfer requirements, we comply with those rules. Our goal is to ensure your data is secure and handled in line with this Privacy Policy no matter where it is processed.

  • Legal Requests and Compliance – We may disclose user information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order, subpoena, or government demand). In such cases, our policy is to ensure the request is legitimate and to only provide the minimum necessary information. We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that it’s necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, protect the safety of our users or the public, or investigate and defend against legal claims. If we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred to the new owners under the same terms of this Privacy Policy.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance user experience and gather analytics data. This section explains what these technologies are and how we use them:

  • What Are Cookies? Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, etc.) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions. For example, a cookie can keep you logged in by remembering your session ID, or it can remember your language preference for the next visit. Cookies can also be used to collect data about website usage (analytics) or to personalize content and ads (though Pumplify does not use advertising cookies). There are also similar tracking technologies like web beacons (tiny graphics embedded on pages or emails) and local storage in your browser. In this policy, for simplicity, we refer to all of these as “cookies” or “tracking technologies.”

  • How We Use Cookies Pumplify uses cookies on our website primarily for two purposes: essential functionality and analytics.

    • For essential functionality: If our website offers features that require remembering user choices or information, we use cookies to enable those. For instance, if the site has a login system or remembers your preferences (such as a theme or layout selection), a cookie would be necessary to implement that. As of the latest update, Pumplify’s website usage is mostly informational, but any interactive or preference-based features would involve essential cookies.

    • For analytics: We use cookies to help collect information about how visitors use our site. Analytics cookies allow us to see which pages are popular, how users move through the site, and if they encounter errors. Using cookies for this means if you visit our site multiple times, the cookie can let us know that it’s the same device returning (we still don’t know who you are, just that a device came back). This helps us get accurate repeat visit counts and understand user loyalty and behavior over time. All of this data is used to improve site content and performance. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertisements or track you across other sites.

  • Types of Cookies We Use The cookies on Pumplify’s website generally fall into these categories:

    • Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary for the website to function correctly. Without them, certain services or features may not be available. For example, if our site had a user login, an essential cookie would keep you logged in as you navigate between pages. Essential cookies might also be used for security purposes (for instance, to keep track of your session and detect misuse of your account). We don’t require user consent for essential cookies, since they are needed for providing the service you requested.

    • Analytics Cookies: These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website. They do not collect information that directly identifies you; rather, they gather details like pages visited, time spent on site, and any issues encountered (such as error messages). We aggregate this information to improve our website’s operation. For example, analytics cookies might tell us that most users spend more time on our documentation page than our homepage, indicating we should ensure the docs are easy to find. We treat analytics cookies as non-essential, which means if you are in a jurisdiction that requires consent for cookies, we will ask for your permission before setting these.

It’s worth noting that some cookies may be set by third-party services we use. For instance, if we have YouTube videos embedded on our site or social media share buttons, those services might set their own cookies. This is known as third-party cookies. However, in the context of Pumplify, our primary third-party cookies would come from our analytics provider (e.g., Google Analytics), which we’ve covered above.

  • Your Choices: Opt-Out & Control You have control over cookies and similar trackers. Here are ways you can manage them:

    • Cookie Consent Banner: If you see a cookie consent banner or pop-up on our site (typically shown to users from regions like the EU where consent is required), you can choose to allow or refuse non-essential cookies. Our site will respect your selection. If you decline analytics cookies, we will not set them, and the site will still function normally (though our ability to improve our content based on usage data will be a bit limited).

    • Browser Settings: Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can usually: delete existing cookies, block cookies from certain sites or all sites, and set preferences for how cookies are accepted in the future. Please note that if you delete or block cookies, you might have to re-enter preferences on websites, and some features might not work as intended. For Pumplify’s site, blocking cookies should not prevent you from viewing the information, but it may prevent analytics tracking and any advanced features that rely on cookies.

    • Do Not Track: As mentioned in User Rights & Control, browsers have an option called “Do Not Track” (DNT) which you can enable to signal that you don’t want to be tracked. While there is no consensus on how websites should respond to DNT, we interpret an active DNT signal as an opt-out of analytics and will not intentionally use tracking cookies in that case. However, essential cookies might still be used since they are needed for site functionality.

    • Analytics Opt-Out: Some analytics services provide their own opt-out mechanisms. For example, Google Analytics has a browser add-on that, once installed, prevents data from being sent to Google Analytics from your device. If we use such a service, you can make use of these tools for a more direct opt-out.

Remember, cookies are device-specific. If you use multiple devices or browsers, you’ll need to set your cookie preferences on each one. Also, if you clear cookies, any preference (including opt-out choices) you have set will likely be cleared, and you may need to set them again.

  • Other Tracking Technologies: In addition to cookies, we may use local storage or session storage (which are mechanisms in your browser similar to cookies in that they store data on your device) for certain tasks, like remembering preferences. We may also use web beacons or pixel tags in emails (if you subscribe to any mailing list from us) to know if you opened an email or clicked a link within it – this helps us gauge the effectiveness of our communication. You can typically avoid or disable these by not downloading images in emails or by unsubscribing from the mailing list if you prefer. Again, any such usage is solely for improving our service and communication, not for tracking you across the web.

Policy Updates & Contact Information

  • Updates to This Policy – Pumplify may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. We reserve the right to do so to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date at the top.
